Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026. How 10Talents Learning collects, uses, and protects information about you and your family. This page explains our current practices.

What we collect

When you create an account we collect the information you choose to enter: school profile (name, mission, motto, founding year, state of record), student records (names, grade levels, subjects, attendance, grades, assessments), and scheduling data. We collect billing information only as required to process your subscription; payment details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.

If you opt in to updates on one of our public guides (for example, the records checklist), we store the email address you provide solely to send the updates described on that form. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we never use these addresses for anything else.

How we use it

Your data is used to operate the service you signed up for — planner, gradebook, attendance, transcripts, and yearbook. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. We use service providers (hosting, email delivery, payment processing) who handle data only on our behalf and under equivalent confidentiality terms.

AI features

When you choose to upload a curriculum PDF or photos of pages for a curriculum import, or a photo of student work for a record scan, we send that file to Anthropic’s Messages API so the model can draft a lesson list or a record entry. You review the draft before it is saved. We do not send a file you did not choose to upload for that feature. This policy does not state Anthropic’s own retention period or whether a vendor uses prompts for model training; those terms are the provider’s, and we do not restate them here.

Website analytics

On our public marketing site (not inside the signed-in app) we use PostHog to understand aggregate visitor traffic: which pages are read, which links and buttons are clicked, approximate time on a page, and coarse device or browser class. We run this in cookieless mode — no advertising cookies are set, and we do not use the data to advertise to you on other sites. Events are sent through our own domain to PostHog, which processes them as our analytics provider under a data-processing arrangement. You can block the script with a standard content blocker; the rest of the site keeps working.

Children's data

10Talents Learning is a tool for parents teaching their own children at home. Student records are created and maintained by the parent account holder. We do not market to children directly and we do not allow student-facing third-party advertising.

Your controls

• Access. While a trial or subscription is open, you can view and export the records you've entered. After an unpaid trial ends, read-only access and exports continue for 30 days. After a paid subscription ends, they continue for about six months (182 days). After that window the app stops opening, and a full export remains available.
• Correction. You can edit school profile and student records from the app while editing is open.
• Deletion. Cancelling paid access does not automatically delete your records. You can request deletion of your account and the data we hold; we'll process the request within 30 days.
• Portability. Exports are provided in open formats (PDF, CSV, and a full account export) during the periods above.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on infrastructure that enforces encryption at rest. Access to production systems is limited to personnel who need it to operate the service. We'll notify you of material security incidents affecting your data without undue delay.
