You submit an education plan to your superintendent or school committee before beginning each year — there’s no state form, so the district’s process governs, within limits the Supreme Judicial Court set in Care and Protection of Charles: districts may consider your curriculum and subject hours, your competency to teach, your materials, and an agreed means of evaluation. Plans typically cover subjects, materials, an hours outline (900/990 is the public-school benchmark, not a homeschool quota), and the evaluation method you propose.
